Thank you for registering!
As part of your registration, you will have received a request to create a password, along with a link to a login page, where you'll be asked to log-in. (your username will be the email address you used to register). You'll need your log-in details to access the course web pages, so please make a note of them.
OUR FIRST REAL-TIME SESSION STARTS ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 27th, from 10 am - 12:30 pm Pacific Time. We’ll be meeting online via Zoom at the same time every week through Saturday, November 27th. Mark your calendars now to reserve these times.
Another date to mark is September 16th, for a real-time online Community Cafe on the topic of Conversational Leadership. This online World Cafe is a required part of the course and will be a "Learning Cafe" with a meta-commentary explaining what we are doing when we host World Cafe, and why.
We'll send out reminder emails in advance of each real-time session that will include the Zoom access link, which is also on the sidebar of your course homepage.
If you subscribed to the mailing list as required, you will receive these reminder emails and other crucial communications about the course. If you have not subscribed, YOU MUST DO SO NOW. Please fill out the form on this page.
(you can unsubscribe after the course is complete if you have to use the form above. If you have joined the mailing list while registering, as requested, we promise not to send you anything that is not necessary for this course.)

COURSE READING
Please click the blue buttons at the bottom of the page (beneath my signature) to download e-format copies of the required pre-reading for this course:
1) The World Café: Shaping Our Futures through Conversations that Matter (211 pages), Juanita Brown, David Isaacs, and the World Café Community
2) The World Café: Living Knowledge through Conversations that Matter, (325 pages) Juanita Brown, Fielding Ph.D. dissertation, 2001
3) The Art of Powerful Questions: Catalyzing Insight, Innovation and Action (14 pages), by Eric E. Vogt, Juanita Brown, and David Isaacs
THESE MATERIALS ARE COPYRIGHT PROTECTED, AND FOR YOUR PERSONAL USE ONLY
ALSO PLEASE NOTE: e-format materials cannot be printed - they must be read in an e-reader or on a computer screen, where you will be able to highlight passages and notate them as desired.
A summary of the relevant chapters being covered in each week's assignment will be posted for your review, but you should plan to read the full texts if at all possible.
The World Cafe Hosting Fundamentals course will be fast-paced, and from past experience, we’ve found that trying to manage the reading and participate in the assignments at the same time can be quite challenging, so we encourage you to complete your reading before we start.
Please contact Amy with any questions or concerns.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
Warm Wishes,
Amy & Maria
