OUR FIRST REAL-TIME SESSION STARTS ON SUNDAY, MARCH 19TH, from 7:30 - 10:00 am CST. We’ll be meeting online via Zoom at the same time every week (except April 23) through Sunday, May 14th. Please mark your calendars now.
Another date to mark is March 29th, from 11am - 1:30pm CST, when we will be hosting a real-time online Community Cafe; a Learning Cafe" with a meta-commentary explaining what we are doing when we host World Cafe, and why.
We'll send out two reminder emails (24 hours & 1 hour in advance) that will include the Zoom access link for each session.
If you subscribed to the mailing list as required, you will receive these reminder emails and other crucial communications about the course. If you have not subscribed, you'll need to do that - for the duration of the course only if you prefer. Please fill out the form on this page.

COURSE READING
Please click the blue buttons at the bottom of the page (beneath my signature) to download e-format copies of the following required prereading - they are all in English:
1) The World Café: Shaping Our Futures through Conversations that Matter (211 pages), Juanita Brown, David Isaacs, and the World Café Community
2) The World Café: Living Knowledge through Conversations that Matter, (325 pages) Juanita Brown, Fielding Ph.D. dissertation, 2001
3) The Art of Powerful Questions: Catalyzing Insight, Innovation and Action (14 pages), by Eric E. Vogt, Juanita Brown, and David Isaacs
THESE MATERIALS ARE COPYRIGHT PROTECTED, AND FOR YOUR PERSONAL USE ONLY
ALSO PLEASE NOTE: e-format materials cannot be printed - they must be read in an e-reader or on a computer screen, where you will be able to highlight passages and notate them as desired.
Whenever possible, we will post a summary of the relevant chapters being covered in each week's assignment for your review, with key points highlighted and translated in Chinese, but you should plan to read the full texts if at all possible.
The World Cafe Hosting Fundamentals course will be fast-paced, and from past experience, we’ve found that trying to manage the reading and participate in the assignments at the same time can be quite challenging, so we encourage you to at least scan the reading as soon as possible.
Please contact me with any questions or concerns.
I look forward to seeing you soon!
Warm Wishes,
Amy
